Cellulite Reduction, Hair Removal, Endermologie

One of the reasons that I went into Plastic Surgery was that it was a dynamic, creative field that offered opportunities for evolution. As each patient is different, I can do a unique procedure for each one, and never become bored with a routine. While I pay careful attention to the latest advancements in my field, I evaluate each one thoroughly before offering it to my patients. This holds true for non-surgical treatments as well.

I have been performing microdermabrasion, which pulses tiny crystals against the skin to smooth out the texture, with great success since 1999. It can leave the skin polished and smooth to the touch in 20 minutes, and is effective for everything from a refreshing deep cleansing to mild acne scarring. For scarring, a series of weekly treatments is sometimes needed to achieve maximal results. It is sometimes combined with skincare to treat acne and clogged pores.

I also am pleased to offer Endermologie, the first FDA approved treatment for reducing the appearance of cellulite, since its approval in 1998. Many people think that liposuction can remove cellulite, when in fact it is ineffective. Endermologie, a series of weekly or twice weekly treatments done by a certified therapist, usually requires fifteen 35 minute sessions. After a few sessions, you can feel the difference. After 8 treatments, you can usually see a change. When combined with liposuction, 2-3 weeks after, I can achieve results unlike any I have seen before. I will be happy to evaluate you to determine if you are a good candidate. The benefit of doing the treatments in my office is that I have a vast experience to decide if it will be effective for you, and can tell you how to maximize your result.

Other treatments, such permanent hair removal, are also available, and we are constantly adding those services that can benefit our patients.

Just because you see it on TV or in a magazine doesn't mean it is right for you, or even effective for anyone. It is sometimes sheer advertisement by the companies and physicians employed by them, or someone looking for media exposure. I receive no payment from any product or service I recommend, so you can be assured that I will give you an unbiased and honest opinion on everything.
