yGallery is a free arts space within Yager Esthetics | Estética™ dedicated to the promotion of Hispanic artists. yGallery will host openings and educational seminars in English and Spanish as part of our yConnect networking series.
Pequeños Picassos is a free culture education program for Hispanic children ages 5-8 years of age interested in Hispanic art. It will be held at yGallery in English and Spanish sponsored by Yager Esthetics | Estética™ featuring Hispanic artists who will work with and inspire the youth of the community.

PROGRAM:
INVITATION / KICK-OFF
- Pequeños Picassos will kick off with an invitation to five pre-determined schools to invite their Third and Fourth graders (ages seven and eight) to submit artwork for consideration of entry into the Pequeños Picassos program.
- Each school will select four students who will be invited to represent their school at a seminar/on-site competition at Yager Esthetics.
- Registration is free. The only requirement is that the student be a child of a single mother earning less than $30,000 yearly.
ON-SITE SEMINAR / CREATIVE SESSION:
- At Yager Esthetics |Estética™, a guest speaker who is a teaching artist and/or has exhibited their artwork in yGallery, will conduct the on-site creative session/seminar for the selected students from each school. It will consist of an educational introduction and an opportunity to create art with materials provided at Yager Esthetics |Estética™.
- Finished artwork will be framed and displayed at yGallery, and be judged by Dr. Yager, past yGallery artists, and guest judges for a grand prize.
- One lucky winner will be selected to win a $5,000 scholarship, and a $5,000 donation in their name on behalf of our sponsor to their school’s art program.
- Healthy snacks and refreshments will be provided
- An area for parents will be available at Yager Esthetics|Estética™ while the children attend the seminar/creative session.
